DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH GRANTS

The International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO) seeks to appoint a Director of Research Grants responsible for the administration of the HFSP Research Grant program. The Director of Research Grants must be capable of upholding HFSPO’s reputation for undertaking the highest quality peer review with leading scientists from around the world.

Applications are welcome from all HFSPO Member countries.

Primary job responsibility is to conduct the annual competition and peer review of applications and to oversee administration of awarded grants. The Director is a member of the senior management of the HFSPO, working closely with the Secretary-General and the other Directors of the Secretariat.

The applicants should have a distinguished track record in frontier life science research that is relevant to the interdisciplinary context of the Human Frontier Science Program, a commitment to the mission of HFSPO, and demonstrated organisational skills.

The position is held in Strasbourg, France. Appointments are for 3 years, renewable. A competitive salary will be offered. Removal expenses are available.
