CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
The Nanoscience Initiative of the Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC) at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York is seeking a full time tenure/tenure-track faculty member to join their team.

Opening in 2014, the ASRC is a newly-constructed interdisciplinary research building boasting purpose-built laboratory and office spaces, and state-of-the-art shared core facilities, including: a Class100 cleanroom; Imaging, Surface Science, NMR, MS, and MRI facilities; and a shared vivarium space, with supporting infrastructure. The growing Nanoscience Initiative, http://nanoscience.asrc.cuny.edu, currently operates with approximately 70 staff, including faculty, research staff, students, and administrators.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in teaching and research; make key contributions to the shaping of the ASRC's cross-disciplinary Nanoscience program and the development of educational programming in Nanoscience at CUNY; and initiate new collaborative projects and activities across CUNY and other research institutions in New York City.

The faculty in Nanoscience will also lead the continued acquisition of external funding from private and public funding bodies; devise innovative mechanisms to engage the general public, the next generation, and potential donors in nanoscience and the physical sciences; and ensure compliance with federal research guidelines and University policies.

This position reports to the Nanoscience Initiative Director and will begin in Fall 2019.
