MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY
The Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick (Busch Campus), invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. The position requires a Ph.D. degree and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate students and research in Molecular Biology. The Department is especially interested in applicants who use biochemical or molecular approaches for research in functional genomics, epigenetics, chromatin structure and function, and control of growth and differentiation but outstanding researchers in other areas will be considered. The Department is an important part of the expanding program in molecular biology within the Division of Life Sciences on the Busch Campus, where the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine, the Waksman Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School are also located. We have strong consolidated, interdepartmental graduate programs in molecular biosciences. The position is highly competitive with regard to start-up funds, laboratory space and salary.
