Post-doctoral position in Cellular and Molecular Immunology
The mucosal Immunology laboratory within USC Keck school of Medicine, department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, is offering postdoctoral opportunities for highly motivated and collaborative individuals capable of independent reasoning and excited about learning new technologies. The candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills and familiar with techniques such as multi color flow cytometry, cell isolation, tissue culture, ELISA, RT-PCR and animal handling. The successful candidate will participate in a number of exciting projects in the areas of immune-regulation, lung and inflammatory diseases.
The priority is given to recent graduate applicants with PhD or applicants that are expect to graduate from an Immunology PhD program. Also we expect applicants to have at least one or two first author immunology related published articles. In addition to conducting experiments, the duties of the positions will include reading and knowing the relevant literature, training new personnel in the laboratory, attending and presenting at scientific meetings, and writing fellowships and manuscripts. The successful candidate will be required to work in collaboration with other researchers in and outside the laboratory.
The laboratory is located in the Norris Research Tower, Keck School of Medicine with full time access to excellent facilities in the department and university. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment including latest flow cytometry analyzer, sorters, confocal microscopy and bioinformatics. Both USC’s primary campuses are in the heart of Los Angeles, with easy access to the downtown.
