Research Associate – Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory- Long Island, NY
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Research Associate for an immediate full-time position in the Huang laboratory.
The successful candidate will participate in a variety of research in the area of neuroscience and molecular biology investigating the development, genetics, and function of neuronal cell types and circuits in rodents.
The Associate will be responsible for managing, conducting and completing research projects, in addition to overseeing lower level technicians.
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in scientific related Discipline and 8+ years experience, or Master’s Degree in Science and 6+ years experience.
Other Experience & Skills: Responsibilities will require strong molecular biology experience and expertise. Additional duties will include performing general laboratory organization and management. Experience working with rodents and rodent colony management preferred. Additionally, histology, microscopy, or tissue culture experience would be beneficial.
