Four research positions are available at Aarhus University, Denmark and Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark. All positions are for appointments for three years with an intended starting date of January 1st, 2019.

The positions are associated with a larger translational research program on CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing of hematopoietic stem cells for patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases.

A. One post doc position is available in the laboratory of Trine Mogensen on a project identifying novel immunodeficiencies in patients using whole exome sequencing, bioinformatics, and functional immunological assays.
B. Two post doc positions are available in the laboratories of Jacob Giehm Mikkelsen and Rasmus O. Bak, respectively, on projects centered on the development of CRISPR/Cas9 reagents for hematopoietic stem cell gene correction and functional genetic and immunological validation of developed reagents in vitro and in vivo.
C. One clinical specialist position is available in the laboratory of Bjarne K. Møller on hematopoietic stem cell expansion and establishing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliant procedures for cell manufacturing and translation of experimental methods into clinical practice.

All applicants are required to have published at least one first-author publication of high quality in an international, peer-reviewed journal. Furthermore, solid background knowledge and experimental experience within genetics, molecular and cell biology are required. Depending on the position, experience within genome editing, immunology of primary immunodeficiencies, mesenchymal and hematopoietic stem cell biology, or GMP is highly valued, as well as skills in AAV vectorology, flow cytometry, animal handling, and bioinformatics. Finally, the successful candidates are expected to have ambitions and skills to develop the projects to the highest international level, and to be engaged in activities across the consortium and in supervision of junior students (PhD students, medical students, and Masters students).

Appointment as a postdoc requires academic qualifications at PhD level.
