POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN CALCIUM SIGNALING

A post-doctoral position is available immediately to work in the laboratory of Rodrigo S. Lacruz in the Department of Basic Science at New York University College of Dentistry, New York. The lab’s main research interests are the study of calcium signaling in cell lines and in primary dental enamel cells. The lab is dedicated to the study of store-operated calcium entry and interactions with mitochondrial function and redox environment.
The candidate should have a PhD degree in related fields and have prior experience in calcium imaging using a variety of calcium dyes/probes, as well as mastering basic molecular/cell biology techniques including cell culture, gene and protein expression assays, animal handling (genotyping, tissue dissections) and cloning. A background in electrophysiology would be desirable, but is not a requirement. The candidate will be expected to work independently, under supervision, and contribute to scientific advances in several exciting new projects.
