The Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Neurobiology (tenure-track) position beginning August 2019. We seek a candidate to develop an internationally recognized research program focused on neurobiology. We are eager to attract candidates who study neuroscience at the molecular, cellular, or circuitry levels. Candidates with expertise in state-of-the-art approaches are encouraged to apply. PhD in neurobiology or related field required prior to start of appointment. Post-doctoral experience in neurobiology or related field required. Applicants must demonstrate excellence and productivity in scholarly research, as well as a commitment to teaching. Successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching, research, and service missions of the Department of Integrative Biology. Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is required, as is mentoring the research of undergraduate and graduate students. Candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly research in areas of specialization leading to scholarly publications at the national and international levels. Candidate will be required to perform university and professional service as appropriate.
