Job Description
The School of Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri-Kansas City invites applications for one full-time tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We encourage applications from individuals who employ molecular, cellular, or in silico approaches to address fundamental biological questions. The primary attributes we seek in candidates are (1) demonstrated excellence in research, as the faculty member would be expected to initiate or continue an independent, extramurally funded research program, and (2) potential or demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring.

The School of Biological Sciences grants degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. MS and PhD degrees are granted in Cell Biology & Biophysics or Molecular Biology & Biochemistry. "Life and health sciences" is one of three areas emphasized in the UMKC campus mission. Participating units include the School of Biological Sciences, the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Dentistry, and the School of Nursing and Health Studies.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Ph.D., M.D., or DVM and at least two years of postdoctoral experience.
