The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University seeks a highly qualified individual to join an exceptional group of scientists as a junior tenure-track or established tenured faculty position (open rank) in Cell Biology. Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials and a record of scholarly productivity.

Candidates with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and an interest in any aspect of basic cell biology will be considered. Individuals conducting research in the following areas are of particular interest:

  • Membrane trafficking
  • Organelle biology
  • Cell motility and the cytoskeleton
  • Imaging approaches to probe and manipulate cellular or intracellular function   

A significant start-up package will be available to the successful candidate who we expect will develop a dynamic research program and participate in graduate teaching. Columbia also provides a highly competitive salary and fringe benefits package.
