The Clinical Research Division (CRD), Human Biology Division (HB), and Public Health Division (PHS) at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (Fred Hutch) jointly invite exceptional candidates to apply for a full-time faculty appointment at the Assistant Member or Associate Member level (equivalent to assistant/associate professor at a university) to develop an independent research program  in the area of cancer metastasis/tumor microenvironment. Opportunities exist for joint and/or affiliate appointments in the Fred Hutch Divisions of Clinical Research, Human Biology, and Public Health Sciences, as well as the University of Washington, depending on mutual interest. Fred Hutch, home of three Nobel laureates, is an independent, nonprofit research institution dedicated to the development and advancement of biomedical research to eliminate cancer and other potentially fatal diseases. Recognized internationally for its pioneering work in bone-marrow transplantation and immunotherapy, Fred Hutch provides a unique environment for conducting translational research and clinical care. Fred Hutch, in collaboration with its clinical and research partners, the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s, is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center.

We offer a highly collaborative and diverse research environment, generous start-up, modern laboratory space and state-of-the-art core facilities. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated interest and experience in research relating to tumor metastasis and/or the tumor microenvironment with relevant peer-reviewed publications.

Applicants must have a MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree (or foreign equivalent), but can be working in any discipline relevant to the study of cancer metastasis and/or the tumor microenvironment.
