Open Rank Position in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

The University of Miami’s Department of Biology invites applications from outstanding scholars engaged in addressing fundamental questions in Ecology and/or Evolutionary Biology. We welcome applications from candidates at any career stage whose research will complement and grow the existing strengths of our department and who would be interested in contributing to cross-campus collaborations with other academic units at the University of Miami. Applicants working on any area of ecology or evolutionary biology are encouraged to apply, but we are especially interested in candidates whose work addresses at least one of the following themes using state-of-the-art approaches and techniques: Tropical Biology, Species Interactions (including symbiosis), Conservation Biology, Plant Biology, and/or Quantitative Biology (including Mathematical or Theoretical Biology). To be eligible for this open-rank position, successful candidates must hold a PhD, have postdoctoral experience, and have a strong track record of publications and funding commensurate with rank. The hire will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally funded research program and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
