Postdoctoral Fellow in Cardio-biology
Cardio-biology position focuses on the molecular and cell cardio-biology of cardiac hypertrophy and failure. Focus is on the role of resistin family of proteins and their downstream pathways in mediating myocyte hypertrophy and dysfunction, fibrosis, alteration in calcium sensitivity and inflammation. Requires outstanding productive experience in basic cardiac and cardiac myocyte pathobiology and function. Experience in metabolism and energetics, or in immunology and cardiac physiology, would be helpful.
Dynamic, innovative laboratory of diverse interacting scientists. Focus spans cell and molecular biology, animal model physiology, genetics and biomarker development, human cell and patient mechanistic investigation and development of therapeutics.
