We are seeking to appoint a permanent full-time Senior Lecturer, interested to pursue independent research, with a particular focus on Environmental Microbiology, Metagenomics and Genomics. You will be able to develop collaborations across the University with researchers working in the areas of Environmental Microbiology, Epidemiology, Food Safety, Medical or Veterinary Microbiology. In this position, you will also make a significant contribution to the College of Sciences' research outputs, attract research grants, and teach at any level as may be required.

The Institute of Fundamental Sciences is a multi-disciplinary research and teaching Institute and the School of Veterinary Science houses the Molecular Epidemiology and Public Health Laboratory that develops and applies microbiological, epidemiological and genomic tools to understand sources and pathways of infectious diseases.
