The Vanderbilt Center for Immunobiology and Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology, and Inflammation invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the field of immunology at a level commensurate with experience.  The appointment will be in the Division of Molecular Pathogenesis in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and School of Medicine. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, fundamental immune mechanisms, immune genetics, tumor immunology, immune metabolism and metabolic disorders, tolerance and autoimmunity, and immune response to pathogens. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree and a minimum of three years of appropriate postdoctoral experience and accomplishment with peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate outstanding scholarly work. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and maintain an energetic, independent and well-funded research program and participate in the teaching of graduate and medical students.

With an active and diverse faculty, the Vanderbilt Center for Immunobiology, Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology, and Inflammation, and Division of Molecular Pathogenesis provide a collegial faculty with a range of scholarly interests and research facilities. The Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, are located on the Vanderbilt University campus and home to internationally recognized programs in pharmacology, drug discovery, proteomics, structural biology, imaging science, bioinformatics, inflammation, and vaccines. The School consistently ranks in the Top 20 US Medical Schools and provides outstanding opportunities for scholarship and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
