Located within the Elanco Animal Health US Commercial Operations Team, the purpose of the position is to serve as a companion animal and/or food animal technical resource for TACS by engaging in primarily phone based product support for Elanco's customer base of veterinarians, veterinary staff and livestock/pet owners. Other product support projects and initiatives appropriate for technical support veterinarians will also be involved, including occasional attendance at local, state or national veterinary meetings, which will require travel on a limited basis.
  • Project an attitude of exceptional customer service in all aspects of job execution, across all customer types.
  • Proficiency in the field of veterinary medicine as a result of clinical practice experience and training provided for the role.
  • Ability to learn and/or demonstrate satisfactory knowledge of the regulatory, quality and compliance requirements associated with daily execution of the role.
  • Able to understand the importance of deadlines related to all aspects of product support from both the regulatory/quality and customer service aspects of adverse event and product complaint investigations, and an ability to manage them accordingly.
  • Able to work effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to present technical materials to both internal and external audiences, as required.
  • Complete technical review and approval of internal and external materials on behalf of TACS or other business units.

Basic Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD Degree required
  • 2 years of clinical experience in private, corporate or academic veterinary medicine.
  • Documented veterinary licensure in one or more U.S. states is required.

Additional Skills/Preferences
  • Additional clinical experience totaling five years or more is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a regulated veterinary call center environment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to capture all clinically relevant data from reports received.
  • Ability to meet pre-defined goals, as established with supervisor.
  • Excellent communication skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Ability to interact effectively with TACS staff and others, as required
  • Ability to establish and meet project deadlines
  • Flexibility to travel as outlined
