ANATOMY TEACHING FACULTY POSITION
The Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology (http://www.uthsc.edu/anatomy-neurobiology) at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center invites applications to fill an open rank educator position in the anatomical sciences. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) with a comprehensive benefits package. This 3 year position is renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
Primary responsibilities will include teaching microscopic anatomy (histology)and virtual microscopy laboratory courses to medical and dental students. Teaching experience in clinically orientated anatomical sciences including histology and the use of software for virtual microscopy instruction is preferred but not required. Responsibilities will also include teaching in one or more other anatomical science areas (embryology, gross anatomy, cadaveric laboratory dissection, neuroanatomy) and experience in or willingness to expand into these areas is required. The candidate should be an enthusiastic educator with demonstrated ability to work productively, collegially, and effectively within a faculty-team environment. This position includes opportunities to conduct scholarly activities related to educational programs.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D. or equivalent degree with a background in anatomy or related field of study. For best consideration applications should be submitted by November 1, 2018.
