EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SOUGHT FOR LEADING HEART RESEARCH INSTITUTE
The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute is one of Australia’s most prestigious medical research Institutes and has a global reputation for excellence, specialising in cardiovascular basic biomedical research, including cardio genomics. Founded in 1994 in Sydney, the Victor Chang Institute is the legacy of heart transplant pioneer, Dr Victor Chang. Beginning with just two scientists, the Institute is today a thriving independent entity, home to more than 250 dedicated researchers and staff with strong affiliations with St Vincent’s hospital and the University of New South Wales in Sydney. The Institute has recently established the Victor Chang Innovation Centre, which now has some of the world’s latest state-of-the art research equipment to facilitate latest research techniques.
The Victor Chang Institute has now started a global search for its next Executive Director to succeed Professor Robert Graham, AO FAA FAHMS, who will step down in 2019 after 25 years as the inaugural director.
