East Carolina University The Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology, Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University (ECU) is seeking applicants for a tenure track or fixed term ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR position in Greenville, NC. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications, and the position will begin July 15, 2019.
Enthusiasm and experience teaching in the basic anatomical disciplines are required. The Department's teaching responsibilities include medical students, a variety of professional students and graduate students in M.S. and Ph.D. programs from diverse backgrounds. Applicants must have strong interest and experience in medical education in human gross anatomy and in graduate student education. We are especially interested in candidates from underrepresented groups as well as individuals who have experience working with diverse student populations.
Research programs must compliment the strengths of ongoing research in the department (http://www.ecu.edu/anatomy) or within the school of medicine that encompass multidisciplinary approaches to study basic science and disease mechanisms. Preference will be given to applicants having basic research experience with relevance to progenitor cell biology, osteoarthritis, cancer cell biology, reproductive health and neurodegenerative diseases and research programs that span these areas. Applicants for Associate Professor should have an established research program.
