Tenure Track Faculty Positions, Cell and Molecular Physiology
The Department of Cell and Molecular Physiology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) seeks applicants for multiple tenure-track positions at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR and PROFESSOR level.
We seek junior and senior colleagues to build on our strengths in cellular and systems physiology. Departmental faculty are actively engaged in research on cardiovascular disease, aging, RNA biology, metabolism, proteomics, molecular neuroscience, the cytoskeleton, and biophysics. In addition to recruitment in basic science, we encourage Physician-Scientist applications as part of an Institutional Initiative to aggressively expand translational research in partnership with Loyola University Medical Center.
The SSOM is undergoing rapid growth in all its basic science departments. Laboratory space will be in the newly-constructed Center for Translational Research and Education (www.luc.edu/ctre). The faculty applicant will be expected to sustain an independent, externally-funded research program, and contribute to graduate and medical education. Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent and postdoctoral experience with a strong publication record. Established investigators should have a strong record of research productivity and extramural support.
