The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine in the College of Medicine (Tucson) at The University of Arizona (UA) invites applications for a tenured or tenure eligible faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor level.
The UA College of Medicine ranks among the top public medical schools in the nation for research and primary care. Faculty in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM) contribute to this standing through cutting-edge research in the molecular basis of complex diseases, cardiovascular biology, genome function, intracellular trafficking, and cancer research. CMM It is a fast-growing, highly interdisciplinary department whose faculty make pivotal contributions to UA’s mission of multidisciplinary and collaborative discovery through cross-cutting basic and applied/translational research.
Candidates from fields that complement one or more of CMM’s strategic research strengths (Cardiovascular Biology and Disease, Cell Polarity and Intracellular Trafficking, Cancer Cell Biology, Genome Function, Complex Disease Biology and Genetics) are particularly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be interested in opportunities for leadership in research development or other areas relevant to a dynamic, fast-growing academic unit. A publication record demonstrating high-impact research and a strong and sustainable funding record, appropriate to the level of appointment, is required.
