Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Department of Cellular & Integrative Physiology
The Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology and the Precision Health Initiative (PHI) seek applicants for tenure-track positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or D.V.M., at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience, high quality peer-reviewed publications, evidence of independent research, and competitive funding. We seek innovative scientists using molecular, cellular, and whole animal approaches with expertise that will complement integrative cardiovascular research strengths, metabolism, cell biology, ion transport, cellular and in vivo imaging, and bone biology in the school. Research strengths in precision medicine/health that focus on the following main areas will receive highest priority: diabetes, metabolic aspects of dementia, local gene delivery, and genomic medicine. Successful applicants will be expected to maintain an extramurally funded research program and participate in the teaching of medical and graduate students. Significant resources available include a highly competitive start-up package, excellent laboratory space, and long-term research and salary incentives.
