Opening for a Post-doctoral Researcher in Chicago
A Post-doctoral Researcher is sought to join the Gupta Lab in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center. The project is to study role of Tumor Associated Macrophages in Cancer, using a number of in vitro and in vivo model systems. We are particularly focused on integrin receptors, such as CD11b, on myeloid cells.
Requirements: M.D. or Ph.D in Life sciences with Cell Biology/Immunology background. Mammalian cell culture, experience with small animal handling, molecular biology techniques and organizational skills are required. Prior experience required with some of the following techniques: vertebrate biology, cell transfection assays, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry (FACS), molecular biology (PCR, cloning, plasmid purification, RT-PCR).
Candidates must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, efficient and interact well with others as part of a team. Successful candidate must also have strong analytical, oral and written communication skills. Candidates with less than two years of prior post-doctoral experience are preferred.
