Princeton Andlinger Center Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships

in Energy and the Environment

The Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University invites applications for its Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellows program, with start dates as early as February 2019. This program supports outstanding scholars studying in a field related to energy and the environment with a focus on innovative technological solutions, smart economic analyses, and/or impactful policy solutions to our most pressing energy and environmental challenges. Fellows are expected to be appointed for two years, with renewal after the first year contingent upon satisfactory performance.

Prospective postdoctoral fellows must collaborate with one or more Princeton faculty or senior research staff member working in an energy or environment-related field and articulate an interdisciplinary research plan that is aligned with the mission of the Andlinger Center. Candidates with research plans that establish new collaborative links to or between researchers listed in the Andlinger Center’s research directory are especially encouraged to apply.

This program provides a unique opportunity for postdoctoral fellows to:

  • develop their careers through independent and interdisciplinary research, while working with one or more research mentors who are experts in their fields;
  • pursue broader inter-disciplinary research combining science, engineering, technology, policy and social dimensions;
  • engage in theoretical and/or experimental research, which is either fundamental or applied in nature.

Fellows will be appointed at the rank of postdoctoral research associate and will be provided a competitive salary, standard benefits and an annual allowance of $2,000 to support conference and career development travel.
