Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow- Molecular Imaging and Therapy

Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:

The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellowto conduct research on antifungal vaccine development and diagnostic assays for infectious diseases and bacterial toxins. Research will involve mass spectrometric methods, protein chemistry, and microbiological approaches. The trainee will benefit from a close interaction with world-class clinical and basic science faculty and staff, and gain experience in state-of-the-art proteomics, molecular genetics, cell biology, and animal model experimentation.

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:

  • A Ph.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.

Preferred Education and Skills:

  • Experiencein molecular biology and biochemistry or chemistry, as well as in animal experimentation (mouse), tissue cultures (cell biology), analytical HPLC, and mass spectrometry;
  • Knowledge in the fields of immunology and microbiology, in particular in pathogen-host-interactions.
