Multiple Postdoctoral Scholar Positions in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering
Multiple postdoctoral positions in biomaterials and tissue engineering are available in the Lee Group (http://leemin.bol.ucla.edu/) at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry. We have several ongoing multi-year projects supported by NIH and DoD focused on developing new biomaterials and molecular therapeutic strategies to repair craniofacial and orthopedic skeletal defects.
The successful candidate will receive unique training in the interdisciplinary area of tissue engineering by interacting with a multidisciplinary team of investigators that brings expertise in biomedical engineering, polymer chemistry, bone biology, and animal surgery.
The ideal candidate will have experience in one of two areas:
- Biomaterial synthesis and drug delivery: Ph.D. in chemistry, biomedical engineering, materials science or related field with experience in polymer design and synthesis or nanoparticle synthesis/characterization
- Stem cell biology and bone regeneration: Ph.D. in biology, biomedical sciences or related field with experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, gene therapy, or tissue engineering
Interested candidates should send the following in a single PDF: i) cover letter describing research experience and future goals, ii) curriculum vitae including a publication list, and iii) the names and contact information of three references, to Dr. Min Lee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
