Assistant Professor. PhD with excellent writing skills wanted to assist Professor Timothy A. Springer in multiple aspects of directing a lab with 15-20 postdoctoral fellows, leading the Institute for Protein Innovation (IPI), and doing multidisciplinary research in molecular and cell biology.
Do you want to co-lead a fast-paced, innovative research lab without the headaches of a PI? Join me and help co-direct multiple aspects of a lab with 15-20 postdoctoral fellows doing multidisciplinary research in molecular and cell biology. This is a unique role that supports leading my own lab (https://timothyspringer.org/) and my role as Chairperson of the Institute for Protein Innovation (https://proteininnovation.org).
Successful applicants will have excellent writing skills and expertise in at least one of the following areas: cell surfaces, extracellular matrix, immunology, structural biology, high-resolution fluorescence microscopy, TGF-β/BMP family, integrins, malaria, von Willebrand factor, and use of IPI technology to select antibodies to all extracellular and cell surface molecules in mouse and human. The most central aspect of this position is grant writing and manuscript editing, with flexibility to participate in any of the research areas mentioned above. Administrative skills are important, and other duties will be dependent on interests. The position is non-tenure track and must go through the normal appointment process at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Applicants must have a PhD in a field of molecular and cell biology and demonstrated excellent English writing skills. To apply, send a cover letter (in the body of an email), CV, three references, and a description of past contributions to the writing of manuscripts and grants to: springer_jobs[at]crystal.harvard.edu.
