Postdoctoral Fellow – Monoclonal Antibody and Viral Vaccine

The Infectious Diseases group has a Postdoctoral Fellow opening in monoclonal antibody engineering and vaccine development for infectious diseases. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with expertise in cell and molecular immunology and in-vivo studies. The project involves development of novel therapeutics and vaccines against infectious diseases. 

Responsibility of the position will include participating in an active research program within the virology group which focuses on the design of novel RNA-based viral vaccines and monoclonal antibodies.

Requirements:

Education:  Ph.D. in immunology or virology with 0-2 years’ experience.

Experience: The successful candidate is expected to an independent self-starter with experience and knowledge of cellular immunology techniques, preferably CD34+ cells isolation and manipulation, lentiviral and AAV vector construction and virus production, flow cytometry, and experience with CRISPR/Cas9 technology.  Experience with in-vivo models of research is preferred.  Candidates should have clear history of high quality academic research, as evidenced by publications and contributions to research programs and the ability to organize and write scientific papers and reports, and to present results in professional settings
