Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Stem Cell and Molecular Cardiovascular Biology
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the Cardiovascular Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow study the molecular mechanisms of cardiomyocyte dysfunction in cardiomyopathies with a focus on muscular dystrophy related cardiomyopathies. The position a full-time research position and requires flexibility to work beyond core business hours. Review of applications will begin June 30, 2018 and remain continuously open until filled.
Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or DVM and 0-2 years of related experience with an ongoing commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement in one's area of research. It is preferred that applicants be experienced in pluripotent stem cell culture and manipulation including gene-editing. Applicants must be highly proficient in molecular biology techniques and show a willingness and capacity to learn new techniques, both in vitro and in vivo, in the study field. Meticulous record keeping is expected. Additional qualifications strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
