Postdoctoral: Oral Cancer-Bacteria Interaction

The Oral Microbiome Research Laboratory at Temple University ( is seeking an outstanding postdoctoral fellow to conduct research in the area of oral cancer-bacteria interaction, under mentorship of Dr. Al-hebshi, the lab co-director. The appointed postdoc will work as part of an interdisciplinary research team, and in collaboration with the Regenerative Health Research Laboratory, to assess the effect of exposure to select oral bacteria on behaviour of oral cancer cell lines in vitro.    

The candidate should have a doctorate or equivalent in a related field within the last 3 years. Experience in cell culture techniques, handling cancer cell lines, performing cell proliferation and invasion assays as well as q-PCR is mandatory; experience in animal models of oral cancer will be an asset.
