Postdoctoral Research Associate Multiscale Workflow Engineering
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a doctorate and several years of professional experience in theoretical physics/chemistry or computer science with a background in physics/chemistry. We expect the ability and desire to work in a heterogeneous interdisciplinary environment, strong research skills, and a history of innovation and accomplishment documented by a strong academic record.
You will be responsible for the further development of a workflow environment for the implementation of multi-scale simulation processes. In addition, you will work on scientific questions in which multi-scale simulations play an important role. Specifically, these are questions of optimization of materials for organic electronics (EXTMOS, VirtMat) and computer-aided modeling of adsorption on surfaces (S3Kapel). They support the project partners in the development and implementation of simulations for these projects. You document the results through publications and lectures.
You have a university degree (Diplom (Uni)/Master) in physics or chemistry with a doctorate and professional experience in theoretical physics and simulation methods. Good knowledge in the development and application of methods for calculating the electronic structure, molecular mechanics and Python round off your profile. In addition, you have experience with complex simulations and simulation environments.
