The Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Laboratory at Rhode Island Hospital and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University invites applications for a senior Postdoctoral Research Associate with experience in cardiac and vascular cellular electrophysiology. A fully-equipped patch clamp laboratory will be provided in a state-of-the-art laboratory with access to modern core facilities. (www.cvrc.brownmedicine.org)

Applicants will be expected to participate in a research program in basic cardiovascular electrophysiology, ion channels trafficking and calcium dynamics. Candidates with experience in cellular electrophysiology (single and whole cell ion channel recording via patch clamp technique) of endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells and cardiac myoytes will have a priority. Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD degree and relevant postdoctoral research training.
