The Technical/Business Analyst role contributes to IT projects in support of the Glocbal Clinical Development organization, contributing to IT projects through engagement with business leads and subject-matter experts in the Clinical  space, and leveraging his/her technical acumen to ensure successful execution and delivery of IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical and business analysis activities to execute on, and ensure the delivery of, IT systems and projects that support business strategies aligned to the evolving IT landscape as it relates to the Clinical organization

• Utilize business knowledge to translate needs and opportunities into business and technical requirements, contributing to planning and execution of IT projects, improving and/or expanding the analytics and reporting capabilities.

• Develop and apply deep subject-matter expertise in the clinical domain, ensuring excellence, compliance and added value of IT solutions, and demonstrating the ability to collaborate with the business to develop short/long-term roadmaps and goals to improve business processes and add value through the use of IT capabilities

• Act as a facilitator by creating plans and using appropriate techniques to engage with the business gathering requirements and identify opportunities, conduct end-user training, and ensure alignment and successful implementation of IT solutions

• Operate in line with the solution development life cycle (SDLC) and/or agile frameworks, following testing processes, policies, master test plan and user experience standards

• Act as contact point and provide close support to the Global Clinical Development Organization

• Act as IT representative in business initiatives and working groups focused on innovation, change management and impact assessment

• Contribute to innovative experiments, specifically to idea generation, idea incubation and/or experimentation, identifying tangible and measurable criteria

• Collaborate with Global Development IT team members and platform teams across all IT Hubs, contributing to platform and technology strategies

• All activities must be conducted in compliance with company policies and standards, and in compliance with regional and country specific regulations.

 Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement:   Degree or advanced degree in Science or Computer-related field Required Experience and Skills
  • 2 years of significant technical/business analysis experience with large scale validated scientific computer systems (GCPs)
  • 1-2 years of IT technical analysis or solution delivery experience.
  • Proven knowledge of business processes within the pharmaceutical R&D space
  • Excellent business acumen, with proven ability to understand business processes in detail and translate these into business requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (English – both oral and written) skills, along with the ability to communicate appropriately and confidently with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and with different seniority levels
  • Good leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to organize/prioritize work efficiently and effectively
  • Self-motivation, proactivity and ability to work independently with minimum direction
 Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Previous experience with, and/or knowledge of, clinical research business processes, systems and tools
  • Knowledge and/or experience with business architecture and system integration
