Post-doctoral Position in Human Mucosal Immunology/Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The laboratory of Dr. J. Magarian Blander at Weill Cornell is seeking post-doctoral candidates to expand our work in experimental models to patient derived peripheral blood and intestinal biopsy tissues. The project involves investigations of the mechanisms of ER stress, autophagy and cell death within the intestinal epithelium and their impact on the gut microbiota and intestinal inflammation in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.

A PhD or equivalent in Immunology is required. Prior experience working with human cells and human tissues is a must. Relevant backgrounds include mucosal immunology, inflammation, T cell and myeloid cell biology. Technical expertise in the following is highly desirable: multi-parameter flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, immunohistochemistry, intestinal organoid cultures.
