Postdoc or research scientist position in cancer metabolism and mechanisms of drug resistance

Two R01-funded postdoc/research scientist positions are available in the laboratory of Prof. Mikhail Nikiforov, Wake Forest Comprehensive Cancer Center, Winston-Salem, NC, starting August 1. The area of research includes functional characterization of novel metabolic targets in metastatic melanoma (Wawrzyniak  et al., Cell Reports, 2013; Bianchi-Smiraglia  et al., Nature Methods, 2017; Bagati et al., Cell Reports, 2017) and  mechanisms of progression and drug resistance in multiple myeloma (Mannava et al., Blood, 2012; Zucker et al., Molecular Cell, 2014; Fink et al., Leukemia, 2015). The successful candidate should hold a PhD degree in a relevant field and possess and extensive hands-on experience in basic biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, work with mice including various routes of drug delivery, breeding, etc., and biostatistics tools.
