The Brand Leader - Diabetes manages the development, implementation and monitoring of marketing strategies, plans and resources for assigned Company product(s) for Puerto Rico to ensure achievement of business goals. Achieves results performing the following duties directly, through cross functional teams and/or through field employees ensuring and enforcing compliance with Company policies and procedures, Ethical Business Practices, and applicable regulations.


This position is based in Merck, Carolina, Puerto Rico and does not include relocation assistance.





  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Science, Finance, International Business, or other related field. Master degree preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical commercial environment including marketing and sales experience.
  • Experience in areas of marketing planning, sales forecasting, market access, strategic planning, and promotional planning.
  • Brand financial planning and resource allocation experience.
  • Experience in diabetes product management.
  • Experience in cross functional environment and effective networking within the organization.
  • New product planning and market launch experience, preferred.
    Proficiency in English and Spanish, oral and written.
  • Computer application skills on MS Windows including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Knowledge in the evolving digital health landscape, preferred.
