We are seeking outstanding candidates for several TENURE-TRACK faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Microbiology& Immunology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. Ideal applicants will be creative immunologists with interests in:

  • Basic Immunology
  • Tumor immunity
  • Vaccines
  • Viral immunity
  • Immune-based therapeutics

 

All candidates must have a PhD and/or MD (or equivalent), postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record; candidates at the Associate Professor level should have a record of funding and research productivity. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally-funded research program and participate in the education of medical and graduate students.

 

We are a collaborative research community with interests in B cell development, herpes viruses, infectious diseases, global health, hematopoiesis, multiple sclerosis, myeloid cells, vaccines, and drug development. Our department is undergoing major expansion, and is positioned to interact with the Center for Global Health and Translational Science and the Center for Cancer Research at Upstate Medical University.
