Postdoctoral Fellow position at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio
The laboratory of Katsumi Kitagawa (http://ccri.uthscsa.edu/KKitagawa.html) at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio™) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with a strong interest in studies on chromosome segregation. Our research goal is to understand the role of CIN (chromosome instability) in cancer development.
Our lab is physically located within the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute (Greehey CCRI) at UT Health San Antonio. We have regular access to an extensive array of core institutional facilities (Biochemistry core, CIDD, Research core labs) located within the Department of Biochemistry and Structural Biology, the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, and Greehey CCRI.
Applicants with demonstrated experience in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or mammalian cell culture are preferred. Candidates should hold (or soon expected to hold) a PhD or equivalent degree in a related discipline. Candidates who received a PhD within 2 years from now is preferred. Prior experience in immunofluorescence microscopy is desired but not required.
