A position is available for a Junior/Assistant Research Scientist to work in the laboratory of Rodrigo S. Lacruz in the Department of Basic Science and Craniofacial Biology at New York University College of Dentistry, New York. The lab’s main research interest is focused on studying calcium homeostasis in cell lines and in primary dental enamel cells.
The candidate should have a qualifying technical degree and demonstration of mastering of basic molecular/cell biology techniques including cell culture, gene and protein expression assays, animal handling (genotyping, tissue dissections) and have good knowledge of cloning. Prior experience in flow cytometry, electrophysiology or calcium imaging would be desirable but is not a requirement. The candidate will be expected to also manage the lab to some extent.
