A postdoctoral position is immediately available to work on a NIH-funded project within the field of alcoholic liver disease. This position will perform both cell culture and animal experiments to study the pathogenesis of alcoholic steatohepatitis, particularly, the cellular and molecular mechanisms of lipid dyshomeostasis and lipotoxicity.
The minimum qualifications of this position include (1) A PhD degree in the field of biomedicine; (2) A strong background in cellular and molecular biology; and (3) a record of research productivity as evidenced by research presentations and peer-reviewed publications. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to work as a team member are necessary. Recent graduates with expertise in lipid metabolism and cell signaling are preferred.
