Postdoctoral Fellowship - Translational Cancer Immunology, Biology and Therapy
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION in Translational Cancer Immunology and Biology is available for a highly motivated Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent in the laboratory of Drs. Kaifi, Avella, Kevin Staveley-O’Carroll and Guangfu Li at the University of Missouri.
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-sufficient postdoctoral fellow to drive innovative research projects forward in the lab. Experience in immunology or molecular biology and animal work is required. This fellowship will work with a multidisciplinary team of investigators and clinician scientists within a translational cancer research program at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. A major focus of the research will be on detection and characterization circulating tumor cells involved in cancer detection and progression. Candidates must be scientifically curious, intellectually committed, and capable of working independently. Strong communication and writing skills are essential to develop and execute independent hypothesis-driven cancer research. Grant-writing skills would be beneficial and will be further developed. This position will be an excellent learning opportunity for someone interested in a future translational biomedical research, cancer biology and immunology, or medical career.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
