Postdoctoral Position in Mtb pathogenesis, genetics and redox homeostasis
An NIH funded position is available for a highly enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow experienced in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) pathogenesis, genetics and redox homeostasis to join the lab of Adrie Steyn, Ph.D. at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). A strong background in Mtb biochemistry, physiology, heme and Fe-S cluster sensing mechanisms, and/or in the mouse model for TB is desirable. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree, be independent and have strong laboratory and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to set goals and achieve them in a timely fashion, a commitment to excellence and a strong work ethic is essential.
