Assistant Professor of Research
Louisiana State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Research in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the School of Veterinary Medicine.
Performing cutting edge research in molecular and cellular mechanisms of Immune responses against pathogenic microbes, training postdoctoral researchers and graduate students related to techniques, presenting research findings at national meetings, writing manuscripts and organizing laboratory reagents for research.
- Conduct studies to evaluate the roles of innate and adaptive immune molecules in pathogenic bacterial infection and sepsis using a mouse model and human cells.
- Training postdoctoral researchers and graduate students related to techniques
- Writing laboratory manuscripts
- Organizing laboratory reagents for research. other duties as assigned.
PhD and at least five years of postdoctoral research experience or experience as an extension professional in Immunology or Microbial Pathogens
Prior research experience in a university
