The Biologics Discovery organization seeks an outstanding candidate to join the General Biology Group. This Senior Scientist will focus on designing large genome-scale libraries and performing high-throughput in-vitro and ex-vivo cell-based functional assays. This work will advance large-molecule research programs from target validation through to pre-clinical candidate selection. Broad expertise in molecular and cellular biology is required with preference given to candidates with demonstrated experience working with clinical samples and advancing bio-therapeutics to the clinic. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, will work well both independently and as part of a team, and will be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. With supervision the role includes planning, designing, and developing new methods and executing projects utilizing good scientific judgment. The position is a hands-on, laboratory-based role with no direct reports.


    Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in biologics drug development, preferably in industryMaster’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in biologics drug development, preferably in industryPhD degree in biological sciences 

    Advanced molecular biology skills, including demonstrated success in library design and cell line engineering for functional antibody screening.Experience with cell culture, preferably with primary cells. Experience with bioinformatics and genomics including data analysis and visualization.Must be able to work independently

    Experience in one or more of the following therapy areas:
      OncologyImmunologyCardio-metabolic and renal diseasesInfectious diseaseNeuroscienceExperience working with clinical samplesExperience with flow cytometry
