We are conducting an open search for faculty members with strong research programs in biomaterials and tissue engineering focused on mammalian systems. 

The principle criterion for appointment in a tenured or tenure‐track positon is a major commitment to collaborative research and teaching.  Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Necessary qualifications for this position are the ability to conduct high‐impact, federally funded independent research.  Candidates must have a substantial track record of significant research, as demonstrated by publication and funding history.  A PhD or MD degree is required.  The successful candidate must be committed to bridging research and translational approaches, and open and capable of collaborating with faculty within the department to move stem directed approaches towards clinical endpoints.  Research within the department and Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research can be viewed at https://stemcell.keck.usc.edu.  In addition, the position will involve active mentorship of students and trainees and participation in the department’s diverse educational programs.
