Van Andel Institute (VAI) is an independent nonprofit biomedical research and science education organization committed to improving the health and enhancing the lives of current and future generations. We are an agile institute known for breaking down barriers that hold innovation captive.
VAI has grown into a premier research and educational institution that supports the work of more than 360 scientists, educators and staff. Van Andel Research Institute (VARI), VAI’s research division, is driven by a strong commitment to harnessing the power of epigenetics in basic discovery and translational research in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
The Vision of VARI is to expand the growing global recognition for our transformative model of fundamental and translational research across the scientific continuum, expediting the application of novel investigator-led ideas to impact human health. We achieve this through collaborating with academia, industry and philanthropy and by orchestrating cutting-edge clinical trials to improve human health.
To continue building on our recent success in attracting world-class scientific talent, building critical mass, and creating gravitational pull to West Michigan within our scientific focus areas, we are currently inviting applications for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels within our Center for Neurodegenerative Science
