This position will operate as a field sales consultant reporting to a Poultry Regional Manager. The job scope and primary focus for this position is to help grow MAH market shares through the support and servicing of MAH customers with special focus on hatcheries, breeder operations and commercial layer facilities. This individual will ensure that the proper preparation, utilization and application of MAH vaccines are taking place and actively participate as a value add in the sales process as an individual as well as in conjunction with territory managers. This individual will participate in the logistical support of field trials and internal studies as directed by their manager, and create innovative/novel strategies within the poultry business unit aiding in the overall success the business.

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Work to increase market share of MAH poultry products by providing support to accounts prior to and after the sale. 
    • Performing pre-sale program audits 
      • Illustrate product and program differences 
      • Collecting samples for diagnostics 
    • Detailing products to accounts 
    • Demonstrating appropriate use 
    • Follow-up audits 
      • Ventilation 
      • Breeder Vaccination 
      • Hatchery 
      • Posting sessions 
    • Perform on-site trainings 
  • Make and maintain live production, breeder, hatchery and veterinary contacts focusing on educating & training of customers using MAH products and equipment. 
  • Conduct breeder, hatchery, and field audits and present findings to ensure MAH vaccines are being utilized for maximum efficacy and providing customer with vital information for making improvements to programs. 
  • Provide support associated with field trials and internal studies as directed.
  • Collect and submit adverse-event and product quality defect information for pharmacovigilance department. 
  • Provide innovative/novel strategies to support field activities and customers. 
  • Attend industry meetings to build relationships and gain trust of customers.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • BA/BS degree required
Required Experience and Skills: 

  • 0 – 3 years’ experience in an agricultural field 
  • Ability to use innovative thinking to solve problem 
  • Must be process oriented with ability to follow process flow from operation start to completion 
  • Must be a self-starter, able to identify tasks/activities that need to be completed with little direction from supervisor 
  • Must have strong Computer, Writing, and Verbal Skills to develop and present reports 
  • This position requires 50% overnight travel
