Director, Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute
The Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute of Boston University School of Medicine is seeking a Director with extensive cardiovascular disease research expertise. Founded in 1974, The Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute is comprised of 50 investigators who stimulate, conduct and coordinate research and training related to the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The Institute provides a unified structure that combines and integrates the components of basic science, clinical investigation, medical education, patient care, and community research.
Ideal candidates will have an outstanding record of research accomplishments, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to oversee complex research programs. Candidates should have at least 10 years of successfully funded research experience and should have demonstrated administrative and academic accomplishments in the cardiovascular research field as well as a record of successful mentorship.
