The Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM) at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD, invites applications from qualified individuals for a 12-month tenure/tenure-track faculty position in epidemiology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The candidate must possess a DVM (or equivalent degree) and an advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) and experience in preventive medicine, production medicine, or public health. Relevant clinical and/or field experience in epidemiology and prevention of diseases of economic and public health importance and Board Certification in a veterinary specialty under the American Board of Veterinary Specialties are preferred. The position will involve a combination of Extension and outreach (primarily working with the poultry industry), applied research, and teaching responsibilities. The position is committed primarily to advancing the public and corporate veterinary medicine program of the College of Veterinary Medicine, with an emphasis on supporting the poultry industry.
