The Role:
The Associate Automation Engineer, will provide support to the production and research teams by automating manual processes and improving existing processes. He/she will program and maintain automated liquid handling systems. The individual will work with other method developers to ensure the instruments are functioning to manufacturer's specifications. The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in the industry, specifically working with automated devices and systems.

Here's What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain protocols using Hamilton Venus and Artel
  • Manage and test the automated systems after service by manufacturer
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to support production and research activities

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Requires a BS in biology/engineering/biotechnology or similar
  • Minimum experience required of 1 year in the pharma/biotech industry, focused on lab automation
  • Broad knowledge of automation platforms preferred, such as but not limited to Hamilton, Tecan, Hudson, HighRes
  • Experience operating/programming instrumentation and integrated systems
  • Proven ability to successfully improve processes
  • Exceptional written and oral communication
  • Requires hands-on lab work
